At the turn of the millennium, Ed turned his back on a successful career designing engines for Caterpillar to focus his attentions on the digital world. Starting out as a freelance designer and developer, he joined his first agency in the October of that year. In the ensuing period, he has worked his way through the development ranks, through project management and eventually head of technical services at the last of the four agencies he worked with.
In this time, Ed has worked in pretty much any sector you can name, including commercial (B2B and B2C), NGOs, charities, software houses, automotive and manufacturing, financial houses, technology, trade unions, energy suppliers, marketing firms, recruitment agencies...the list goes on!
